We Make It Easy

PDFPrintE-mail

Whether you want to help with cash contributions, by volunteering, or by matching us up with a supporter, we try to make it as easy as possible. We've learned that if you give people a sensible and easy way to contribute, they will!

Here's 3 simple ways to help:

  1. Our fundraising efforts are outlined below.
  2. You can volunteer your time here.
  3. You can share our mission with your friends here.

How every you decide to help our mission, please accept our sincere gratitude on behalf of our students!

Directly Support Students

PDFPrintE-mail

The Foundation is a partner of the DeKalb County Public Schools Foundation (DCPSF). As our partner, DCPSF supports our non-profit mission by providing 501 (3)(c) status for our fundraising activities. All of your contributions to The Cross Keys Foundation are tax deductible.

Our primary mission is advocacy but we also sponsor annual scholarships and help direct targeted contributions to the classrooms of the seven schools of the Cross Keys attendance area.

Scholarship Fund

You can make a contribution to our Cross Keys Foundation Annual Scholarship funds here:

Cross Keys Foundation Annual Scholarship Fund

One hundred percent of your contribution goes directly to students annually. Each year on Honors Night, the Foundation recognizes a minimum of two graduating seniors at Cross Keys High School with a scholarship of a minimum of $500 each. Scholarship funds are paid by the Foundation to any accredited institute of higher learning in the United States of America. In 2010, the inaugural year, two $1,000 scholarships were awarded. The Foundation also sponsors two awards at Honors Night at Sequoyah Middle School.

Teachers' Wish Lists

The Foundation also encourages supporters to contribute directly to our schools' classroom wish lists. We maintain an automated directory of teachers' class room needs and projects at:

Cross Keys Foundation DonorsChoose.org Directory

If you prefer not to contribute by credit card online, you can send checks payable to "The DeKalb County Public Schools Foundation" at this address (write "Cross Keys Foundation" in your check's memo field):

DeKalb County Public Schools Foundation
c/o Cross Keys Foundation
4060 Peachtree Road D-543
Atlanta, GA 30319

Be sure to write in the check memo the name of the fund to which you wish to contribute. For example, "Cross Keys Foundation Scholarship Fund"

Thank you for your support!

You Can Help Cross Keys Foundation With A Word!

PDFPrintE-mail

Take a moment and use the "Tell-a-Friend" widget to the right to let your friends, family, and associates at churches, synagogues, mosques, and civic organizations know about us and ask them to join in supporting our Cross Keys area public schools. Your good will is hard currency to us!

The Cross Keys Foundation is a grass-roots organization formed by community members to benefit students of our local public schools. Our school population is one characterized by high poverty rates (80%+ "Title I" students), high numbers of refugee and immigrant families, and a high number of English Language Learner (ELL) students. This combination of factors create a gap in advocacy and makes the job of public education a real challenge for our schools.

You can read current and background stories about our high school at Community Radar®. You can help us by your donation, by volunteering your time, or by simply helping us spread the word about our amazing kids!

The Cross Keys Foundation seeks to organize volunteer and financial resources on behalf of our schools. Reaching out to the community at large is one of our key objectives. We are asking for your help in spreading the word about our schools and mission.

The Cross Keys Foundation is the result of a partnership between our Board and The DeKalb County Public Schools Foundation (DCPSF). While our Board provides the leadership and energy for the development and deployment of volunteer and financial resources for the Zone, the DCPSF manages the non-profit status of our efforts via their beneficiary tax exempt 501(3)(c) corporation.
