Introducing the 2011 CKF Scholars

The Cross Keys Foundation (CKF) is pleased to introduce Vesselina Kotzeva and Javier Garcia as CKF's 2011 Scholars! They are joined by Saadia Qadeer who is the Foundation's first Glasgow Scholar (a new CKF scholarship sponsored by an anonymous donor).

What does your support of the CKF and its programs mean to the students? We think Vesselina Kotzeva summed it up beautifully in her recent interview with us - see the excerpt of her comments in the clip to the right.

The winning scholars each receive a $1,000 scholarship payable to any accredited institution of higher learning in the United States. The CKF scholars also receive a commemorative, personalized pin commissioned by the Foundation and designed by D. Muscio Fine Jewelry Studio of Atlanta, GA.

All scholarships are funded via your donations - pitch in today for the 2012 scholarship fund!

Cary Reynolds Gets a Boost!

Boost Mobile, HoopsAtlanta, and The Health Education & Communition Center of Atlanta teamed up with the DeKalb County Public Schools Foundation and gave a "boost" to Cary Reynolds ES by installing a cool outdoor play surface - check out the video!

Thank You Big Peach Outreach!

The Foundation would like to thank the folks at Big Peach Ourtreach for supporting young runners in our districts for the second year in a row through your mission.

In addition to some really fine footwear, your efforts bring the benefit of community support to our children. Your presence reminds them that members of the community outside the school wish them the best!

Your organization and its members are a role model for our young people and for other community-minded companies!

Oct. 1 Pancake Breakfast $5.00 for CK Football and Cheerleading Programs

Come out to the CK Cafeteria 9:00am - 12:00pm, Saturday, October 1, 2011 to enjoy pancakes, bacon, juice, and coffee. All proceeds go to your favorite football and cheer programs!

Invest in our youth (and some pretty good pancakes) and spend a few minutes at Cross Keys High School in Brookhaven.
