Guiding Principles
Early starts make a difference

Recreation develops body and mind

Research suggests a strong link between play and cognitive development.
Play has been linked to student learning and academic performance. Play is a factor in improving attention, attitudes, creativity, imagination, memory, and so many other skills critical for learning.
The Cross Keys Foundation is dedicated to providing opportunities and conditions for safe, supervised and free play.
You can help the Foundation with its efforts with your contribution.
Literacy empowers the mind

Literacy is the foundation of all other education.
You can help the Cross Keys Foundation empower our students with your contribution or by volunteering your time as a guest reader, assisting with an after school program, or donating books.
Diversity broadens understanding

A diverse classroom allows our students a life beyond the confines of their local environment.
It allows them to experience new ideas, new challenges, and, importantly, new people. To them, artificial lines of race, ethnicity, religion, geography, age and taste are made to be crossed, redefined and erased.
As the American population changes, our young people will need even more skills and experiences to interact with individuals with a wide array of backgrounds and perspectives.
The Cross Keys Foundation celebrates diversity by encouraging meaningful interaction of students from every background. With one of the most diverse student populations in the United States, your investments in our schools will reach young people of every background and experience.
Parental support closes the loop
